LG V20 dirilis 2016 lalu, hadir dengan Android Nougat sebagai sistem operasinya dan dijanjikan akan menerima update Android Oreo. Cukup lama belum mendapat Android Oreo, akhirnya LG mulai menggulir Android Oreo ke ponsel V20 tersebut secara global. Saat ini LG sedang mendorong update Android Oreo untuk pengguna LG V20 di Korsel dengan nama model F800K, F00L dan F800S. Biasanya LG memang memberikan update sistem ke perangkat mereka untuk wilayah Korsel terlebih dahulu, bila bagus hasilnya, barulah ercara bertahap akan digulirkan ke negara-negara lain.
